Most people who like Wale would say that it’s not due to his album releases… which is not to say that there isn’t good music to be found within those contributions from the D.C. This album is quite possibly the last mainstream release for Wale, barring some type of commercial success greater than his last album. Not to mention, even though that’s clearly what I AM about to mention, Drake, Cole, and Kendrick all have releases out… So it’s clearly about something. And this is his 4th studio release as a signed “mainstream” artist. He appealed to me, and I believe me, other purist of the art because of his lyrical style and unflinching need to tackle the more “everday” problems that were relatable not only to “the urban enclave” but also people who resonate with the struggle of poverty and growing up this generation poor in finances but rich in perspective and intellect. Wale was a rapper I discovered back in 2007 if memory serves me correct. We at Nous are excited to see what Wale and Every Blue Moon drop next.įollow Youngmoonerz on Instagram and look at their shop online. Many Hip-Hop purist love Wale and many Hip-Hop “fans” are ambivalent or uninformed at worse about one of modern Hip-Hops only poets left. The small detailing on each item, like the crescent moon on the dad hats or the different retro colorway on the “Nothing” T-shirts and the connection to his music are what makes Wale’s merchandise hot. Wale’s collection features simple, clean designs on essential pieces of apparel, making them easy to rep on an everyday basis. Playing on Austin 3:16, one of the most iconic sayings in wrestling history, EBM has created Folarin 3:31. The 3:31 Tee’s also make reference to Wrestlemania superstar Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Ts come in black and white, and feature “Folarin” with “3:31” under it in white and black letters respectively. One has an orange “N” outlined in red, and the other has a purple “Nothing” across the chest with the same design behind Wale’s name on his album artwork for The Album About Nothing in a blue, black and gray colorway. The Folarin 3:31 Tees pay homage to Wale’s eighth mixtape Folarin, paired with the release date of The Album About Nothing, March 31. The next additions to Wale’s collection are two more pieces for The Album About Nothing, the black T-shirts, featuring different designs. The other displays the logo of Wale’s movement, “Every Blue Moon.” The clean “Nothing” snapbacks are available in Blue, Olive, White, Red, Maroon and Black.

One side has an embroidered “TAAN,” an abbreviation of the album title. The snapbacks to go along with this album pay the same respect to the show, featuring “The Album About Nothing” in the same design as the Seinfeld logo.

Wale’s a great friend of Jerry Seinfeld, and the biggest fan of Seinfeld, and took inspiration from the show about nothing, for his album, The Album About Nothing. The front panels feature “EBM” in split block letters that match the blue and black colorways while the back of the cap features a crescent moon in the alternate color by the adjustable strap. In addition to the beanie, Every Blue Moon did a dad cap to stay with the hot 2016 trend of dad hats. Coming in black, yellow, green, maroon, and blue, the “EBM” beanie features the letters “EBM” in moon themed striped block letters. “ EBM ” Beanie, part of the Year of the Moonz CollectionĮvery Blue Moon, Wale’s movement, gets a beanie to sport its brand. Let’s see what Wale’s brand is all about. In anticipation of his next album, Shine, we’re taking a look at some of his past merchandise to reflect before we see what’s next with Shine.
